碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 財務金融系 === 106 === There are a lot of literatures about currency basket in academia. Scholars presented various viewpoints and ideas applying to financial practice. For example, how to choose the optimal currency basket, or how to use the currency basket to hedge, even choose the best combination from a variety of currency basket. But the study of currency basket in Taiwan is relatively less, and the content is not deep enough. Thus, in order to deeply understand this issue, I choose this topic for my research. This study mainly analyzes the impact of currency basket on the trade balance in Taiwan. Besides, we add other control variables to analyze the variation. In order to make the data more adequate and objective, we chose the relevant data from 2005 to 2017 as a sample. Additionally, we use regression analysis、correlation analysis and other analytical methods to detect. This study compared hypotheses to analysis results, we found: 1.The currency basket has significant impact on the trade balance, and negative correlation. 2.Structural change of currency basket occurred in 2006.
