Complete one of the filling points first, overfilling, after the completion, it may cause the filling to be completed, creates undesirable problems. Such as burrs that can impact assembly. In this study, Moldex3D software was used to analyze the flow condition of the Power button housing by changing the fin gate diameter of cold runner, and to improve the flow unbalance on family mold. First analyze to find the best gate design dimension of the flow balance. Secondary analysis finds better molding parameters of the flow balance. The molding parameters include the Melt-temperature, Mold-temperature, Filling-time, etc. The results of the study were that flow unbalance only 84.48%, if Power button structure of circular type (injection volume: 246.89 mm3 and cantilever type (injection volume: 829.307 mm3) both designed to width 2.0mm and height 0.4mm. After improve the parameters, flow unbalance could raise to 93.51% by change injection dimension of cantilever type side to width 3.0mm, height 0.8mm and keep the Melt-temperature on 290℃, Mold-temperature lower to 80℃ from 90℃, Filling-time reduce to 0.8sec from 1.6sec.
