Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 106 === My thesis report begins with re-evaluating my thoughts, concept and the previous works that were made while in the graduate program. By doing so, it provides clarity to my thought process and draws a connection to the pieces made for the thesis exhibition. The theme of my exhibition is based on the idea of my rejection of adulthood, through the act of my contradictory position as an adult yet yearning to remain as a child, of which I termed it as a condition of, “Half-adult”. Reminiscing the perspective of a child and from there re-create time and space in which was lost in the process of adulthood. The first chapter will be focused on the exhibition’s theme and the aim of my practice. Also writing about my infatuation towards the image of the child and my motivation towards my art-making process. The second chapter will be analyzing and evaluating the thoughts process for my works. From “Childhood Nostalgia” to “Questioning Dominating Regulations In Relation to Adulthood.” then to “The Distance Between Adult and Child.” Which will draw the connection for the works I have made. From the third chapter to fourth chapter will discuss my method of execution for my exhibition. Planning and creating a suitable space and time to express the idea of a “Half-Adult” from a perspective of my contradictory position towards rejecting adulthood and its tension of the adult and the child. The final chapter will be my conclusion; documenting my sentiments and thoughts of my works in the graduate program.
