Owning to the technics, there are such inevitable constrains during the process of weaving. The process of escaping tools and machines constantly touches the framework set by myself. At this stage, the contradictions and vainness urge me to think about the state of the essence of fiber from the basic point. Also, the limitations of the framework have become the basis for the inquiry of fiber nature after tracing back to the weaving process. The essence of fiber is line which interweaves the beginning of fiber art. Speaking of “weaving”, it not only has different methods in constructing pictures or shaping the sense of volume from other types of art, but also interprets the conception of subtle space which is overlapped and buckled by the warp and the weft. What’s more, “weaving” implies the meaning of all things intertwined and points out the potential to interweave new relationships by tangible and intangible things and concepts. From line, plane to three-dimension space, I explore the methods and possibilities related to a viewer perceiving the fiber creation. The creation enlarges the structure of the warp and weft of the fabric and the structure of the double layer, which becomes a giant device that people can get in to experience. How does the fabric integrate into the non-white box space to indirectly create a new flow by the arrangement and generate a subtle connection between the fabric and the exhibition space? I formally take the compartment and the loop mode as references to create spatial and visual mobility.
