Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 音樂學系碩(博)士班 === 106 === Léo Delibes (1836-1891) is a French composer, who was active in the later middle of the nineteenth century. During his composing year, ballet and opera works are the most renowned by people. Also‚ he composed Chorus and Mass. His early compose mostly are Operetta and Opera Comique. Because of the influence by exoticism‚ Delibes began to compose the opera “Lakmé” in 1881, moreover, premiered in April 14th in the Opéra-Comique . This opera's fascinated part for the audience is the lingering sounds and tauching feelings‚changeable rhythm‚ colorful harmony and the anxious story make “ Lakmé” still popular by the audience in nowadays. This thesis is based on Deliber's life. Also "Lakme"s composing techniques, music style and background to understand the music. Plus, using the Duets Dôme épais, le jasmin、Lakmé! Lakmé! C’est toi and one aria Où va la jeune Indoue to analysis and interpretation in the thesis. I am expect to have more understanding for Deliber's music and opera in the feature , wishing the singer who are going to sing this opera can experience the beauty of Deliber's music more.
