Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 劇場藝術創作研究所 === 106 === The intention of this paper is to record the author’s acting journey, exploring three themes among physical body, home and love; further, discussing the relationship between the actor and acting within the themes. As for this moment, the author’s encounter with Antigone is based on the annual project of NTUA, “The Road”, of which explained the discovery, analysis, creation and how-to-do from an actor to an character. The structure of the paper is organised as into VI sections: Section I started with “home” as the beginning of ones life, outlining how the family back ground and childhood experience shaped the current personality of the writer. Section II continued with physical body, describing the discovering of primitive animal instinct within an actor and it’s assistance in acting. Section III focused on the presentation of physical body in three Greek tragedies the author used to work on, including “Antigone”, “The Bacchae” and “The Road”. What’s more, the subject would extend to discuss the conflicting feeling of resisting and a sense of security upon interpreting these tragedies. The analysis of “The Road” and the character, Antigone, were explained in Section IV. Finally, the relationship between the author and acting at this very moment were revealed and also the next step in this acting journey.
