Chen is also one of Taiwan’s representative Calligraphers after Taiwan’s recovery. This article aims to study Chen Cheng-pan's calligraphy art. Through comparisons and analysis from different perspectives, the author tries to make a more comprehensive discussion of the development of the calligraphy circle, his life experience, calligraphic sources, calligraphy philosophies, and the aesthetics and influence of calligraphy style development and technical characteristics. Can understand the characteristics and innovations of Chen Cheng-pan's calligraphy and provide evaluation and positioning. This thesis is divided into five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction: The second chapter is focus on Chen Cheng-pan's life and calligraphy learning and social life. The third chapter: exploring the aesthetics of Chen Cheng-pan's calligraphy arts: imagery aesthetics, aesthetics of spirit and artistic conception. Study from brushwork, dot painting, structure, layout and composition, and ink method to explore his practice essentials. In addition, Chen Cheng-pan’s calligraphy art is discussed again from Chen Cheng-pan’s seal usage. The fourth chapter analyzes Chen Cheng-pan's calligraphy art works. In addition to an overview of the changes in his overall creations, five of his works at different stages were selected for analysis: "Yunlin County Song", "Zhang Zhihe poem", "Chen Yuyi Linjiang Xian", "Shipin poem", and "Eastern Zhou Dynasty", from four aspects including creation philosophy, theoretical basis, content form, and material techniques. Wish to fully understand the overall and individual works. The fifth chapter is the conclusion and reflection. The study found that Chen Cheng-pan expanded his understanding of diverse cultures through different political systems and cultures. He was able to accept different cultures from his own, and translated into the performance of the calligraphy art work. From different cultural traditions, Take the elements for use. Based on the calligraphy art, he can absorb and integrate calligraphy styles of different periods and develop the artistic style of his own personal calligraphy. Chen Cheng-pan's calligraphy in running and cursive scripts are influenced by the contemporary cursive saint Yu Youren. Chen Cheng-pan is also the witness and practitioner in Taiwan’s calligraphy history after the liberation of Taiwan. Follow-up research and development directions and possibilities: Finally, I hope that through the study of this article, the follow-up can also make Chen Cheng-pan's calligraphy art more extended and explored.
