The study attempted to determine the differences in the elementary school teachers’ awareness of Job Burnout and Leisure Coping Strategies attributable to gender, age, total number of years of teaching, way of commuting and time spent on commuting. This study collected 430 of effective questionnaires, from the total of 436 questionnaires. The data was collected with a closed-form type questionnaire titled, “Elementary School Teachers’ Awareness of Job Burnout and Leisure Coping Strategies in Hsinchu Area,” as developed by the researcher. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation. Based on the results of the data analysis, the findings were as follows: 1. The elementary school teachers’ awareness of Job Burnout in Hsinchu Area was “medium-low.” The highest average score of Job Burnout of elementary school teachers in Hsinchu Area was “Emotional Exhaustion.” 2. The elementary school teachers’ awareness of Leisure Coping Strategies in Hsinchu Area was “high.” The highest average score of Leisure Coping Strategies of elementary school teachers in Hsinchu Area was “Leisure Palliative Coping Strategy.” 3. There were significant differences between teachers’ awareness of Job Burnout in terms of age, total number of years of teaching, way of commuting, and time spent on commuting. 4. There were significant differences between teachers’ awareness of Leisure Coping Strategies in terms of gender, age, total number of years of teaching, and time spent on commuting. 5.
