The transmitter and receiver ends affect each other in the translating of radio wave transmission. For instance, external changes and the relocation of the receiver end may cause constructive and destructive interference through multipath propagation and subsequently affect the signal quality at the receiver end. This shows the importance of the various effects of multipath fading channels on mobile communication. This study re-improved Jakes’ fading channel simulation model and applied it to a simulated transmission process of narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) to verify whether the proposed model could be effectively used for NB-IoT device development. In this study, a fading channel simulation model suitable for laboratory settings was developed using our modified Jakes’ simulation model and then applied to NB-IoT uplink transmission, in which single-carrier frequency-division multiple access wireless technology was adopted to verify the simulation results. Jakes’ fading channel simulation model based on a simple sum-of-sinusoids structure exhibits its primary value of easy realization through hardware and can be applied to wireless channel testing in laboratory hardware development. Therefore, this study proposed a modified Rayleigh multipath fading channel simulation model that is fast and effective. In this model, the initial phase angle and angle of arrival were set at pi/2 and 0, respectively, and the parameter of path gain was fine adjusted. After the model was applied to the simulation in NB-IoT, the proposed model exhibited approaching the theoretical statistical properties. WENG, WAN-DE 翁萬德 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 99 zh-TW
