碩士 === 元智大學 === 中國語文學系 === 106 === Lu Longqi was one of the most influential rationalist Neo-Confucian during the Qing Dynasty. Lu’s academic thoughts have gained substantial attention from the other scholars during that time. However, these modern scholars thought that Lu’s academic thoughts was merely elaborating the Neo-Confucianism and lack of strong argument and academic value. Some of them even believed that Lu’s academic thoughts was just conforming the government policies and not his own point of view. Nevertheless, after studying the related materials, the candidate of this dissertation discovered that Lu’s academic thoughts was his own academic standpoint and there is no direct relationship with the government. This dissertation investigated on the academic thoughts of Lu through reviewing point of view of the other scholars while integrating with Lu’s literary work and other related materials. It analyzed how Lu’s academic thoughts brought him to the path which enlighten by Zhu Xi’s teaching and criticizes on Wang Yang Ming’s philosophy. This dissertation also studied about criticism of Lu towards the Ming and Qing Dynasties’ scholars, contributions of Lu towards the academic world, Lu’s inheritance and transformation of the philosophy of Neo-Confucianism.
