A total of 28 subjects were required to perform body composition testing, blood collection and nutritional analysis. Serum 25(OH)D level was used as a measure of vitamin D status. Vitamin D sufficiency was defined as serum 25(OH)D > 30 ng/mL, inadequate levels were further classified as vitamin D insufficiency (21-29  ng/mL), and vitamin D deficiency (<20  nmol/L). The results showed that 8 athletes tend to vitamin D concentration insufficiency (serum 25(OH)D concentration was 26.67±2.25 ng/mL), and 6 athletes tend to vitamin D concentration deficiency (serum 25(OH)D concentration was 19.06±1.43 ng/mL). The abovementioned insufficiency and deficiency was accounted for 50% of the overall subject. No statistically significant associations between 25(OH)D concentrations and serum parathyroid hormone, free calcium ion concentration, muscle damage marker (Creatine kinase), inflammatory marker (high-sensitivity CRP), or sun exposure levels were found. Average daily vitamin D intake and calcium were inadequate to maintain optimal vitamin D levels for athletes. This study showed that a prevalence of 50% of vitamin D insufficiency and deficiency was observed in Judo athletes. The results of this study suggest the need for nutrition intake and vitamin D awareness campaigns for athletes. LEE, SHU-LIN 李淑玲 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 93 zh-TW
