However, their physical activity performance is frequently ignored. Exercise within play can improve their physical fitness and reduce the risk of disease. Soccer is a popular sport that has been used for physical exercise among adolescence with intellectual disabilities. 【Purpose】 The objective of this study was to compare the motor performances of individuals with intellectual disabilities and those with typical development when dribbling a soccer ball through quantitative behavior-coded observations. 【Method】58 students (29 ID and 29 TD) aged 16 to 18 years old participated in this study. Straight-line and zigzag soccer dribbling tests were conducted in a rectangular field. The dribbling performance was videotaped. Behavior-coded observation was then conducted to examine the lower-limb motor performance parameters of the teenagers during dribbling. The total time to movement completion was also measured using a self-designed smart soccer. Inferential statistics were used for group comparisons. 【Result】Results indicated that the two groups differ significantly in the “dribbling”(L:TD 19.7±3.5 times, ID 25.9±6.6 times, p=.000; Z: TD 34.2±4.4 times, ID 48.9±13.4 times, p=.000) and “control” (L: TD 6.2±1.7 times, ID 10.6±5.6 times, p=.000; Z: TD 13.7±2.6 times; ID 19.2±5.4 times, p=.000) in straight line and zigzag test. Significant differences were also found in “Completion time” (L:TD 8.99±2.07 sec, ID 14.20±4.76 sec, p=.000; Z: TD 17.32±4.38 sec, ID 30.06±10.43 sec, p=.000), “Completion distance” (L:TD 12.43±0.82 m, ID 14.25±1.33 m p=.000; Z: TD 17.13±1.59 m, ID 19.92±2.96 m, p=.000), “Completion speed” (L:TD 1.44±0.29 m/sec, ID 1.10±0.34 m/sec, p=.000; Z:TD 1.04±0.24 m/sec, ID 0.72±0.22 m/sec, p=.000), “Reaction time” (L:TD 1.222±0.459 sec; ID 1.089±0.127, p=.141; Z: TD1.024±0.098 sec, ID 1.218±0.456 sec, p=.032), “Error” (L:TD 0.01±0.1 times, ID 0.25±0.3 times, p=.000; Z:TD 0.31±0.5 times, ID 1.28±0.9 times, p=.000) and “the cone completion rate” (Z:TD 4.87±0.31 passes/5, ID 4.36±1.15 passes/5, p=.029), registered via the self-designed soccer. “Reaction time”(L:ID 1.089±0.127) in the Straight-line had not different 【Conclusion】The behavior-coded approach provided an efficient, detail, and accurate way to gather the behavior data and to calculate performance parameter statistics in individuals with ID. The present findings demonstrated how ID population differs from their peers in lower-extremity strategic control. H. Y. Cheng 程欣儀 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 89 zh-TW
