In terms of disaster prevention education, teachers are an important factor to promote disaster prevention education, because teachers are the first line in the field of education, and they are the educators who actually carry out the teaching work, Teachers are indispensable and important factors in students' learning activities. Teachers' teaching is influenced by their own belief or teaching theory, which promotes their decision and performance in teaching, Teachers in schools have an important influence on the cultivation of students' disaster prevention literacy. It is the important responsibility of teachers in schools to provide students with correct concepts, skills and attitudes towards disaster prevention. The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality of disaster prevention and the effectiveness of disaster prevention education among elementary and secondary school teachers in Hsinchu, Using independent sample t test and single factor variance statistics way to analysis different background variables on disaster prevention literacy and disaster prevention education difference. The results show that the teachers of elementary and secondary schools in Hsinchu have high scores in disaster prevention literacy, which shows that Hsinchu elementary and secondary schools have made great progress in promoting disaster prevention education literacy, Due to the rare occurrence of major disasters in Hsinchu city in recent years, schools generally have a better degree of knowledge, ability and skills related to "pre-disaster preventive and reconditioning" than mid-disaster response and post-disaster recovery. The best performance was in the preparation of disaster prevention and rescue plans on campus, while the poor performance was in the resettlement operations
