Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國科技大學 === 資訊工程系資訊科技應用碩士在職專班 === 107 === In the past, when it comes to the ethernet multicast service, it was impossible to know in advance how many routers and switches would pass through the data from the sender to the receiver. As a result, the delay of the transmission time and the waste of bandwidth may be caused because it may not be the best delivery path. Under the software-defined network(SDN) structure, a centralized control system, SDN, can plan the overall network transmission path to achieve efficient data transmission. In addition, previous studies rarely consider power issues in mobile devices. In this study, we conduct a multicasting service within limited power and let the quality of the image be dynamically adjusted according to the remaining power of the mobile device to achieve the maximum use time of the overall mobile device. In the study, we propose an energy-efficient management structure of multicasting service based on the software-defined network(SDN) structure. We calculate the minimum spanning tree(MST) through the software-defined network controller and plan the minimum multicast cost. Then, based on the remaining power of the mobile device, using the scalable video coding(SVC) technology to adjust the quality of the image received. The results of the experiment show that the proposed method can extend the usage time of the mobile device.
