To understand the effects of aircraft noise on residential satisfaction, investigating how content the residents are with the aircraft noise control measures and subsidies, also, their expectation on the noise prevention and compensation, a self-designed questionnaire was used to collect data from 118 residents among 12 villages around Guiren air base. From the results of the study on data collected, indicates that the impacts of aircraft noise on residents' daily life vary with different regions around the base; age should also be taken into consideration when it comes to residents' sleep quality; those who better understand the contents of noise control and subsidy policies have higher satisfaction than those who don't; residents prefer collecting subsidy funds as a priority for improvement measures. The results of this research suggest that: i. The army aviation base should strengthen the publicity of noise control and subsidy policies in order to improve residents' understanding and satisfaction. Also, while promoting policies, the official personnel should be patient with individuals with lower levels of education. ii. Raise reasonable aircraft noise subsidy funds, showing that the military does pay serious attention to this problem, so as to reduce complaints about the noises.
