The questionnaire survey method was used in this study. The subjects were 242 twelve to thirty-six months infants from public day care centers and private day care centers in Kaohsiung City. The research instruments used included the " Parenting Attitudes Scale " and " Adaptability of Infants on Day Care Centers Scale ". The delivered formal questionnaires were 260 copies and 242 valid copies were collected with an availability rate of 93%. The collected data were statistically analyzed by the descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Person Correlations. The results of the study include: 1.Nowadays, for the parenting attitudes, the parents are mainly with enlightened authoritative education attitude rather than indifference education attitude. 2.When infants entering the day care center with moderate or above adaptation status, the baby's emotional performance is positive. 3.There were significant differences in parenting attitudes because of different variables, such as the ages of infant, the education level of the mother, and total family income. 4.There were significant differences in the adaptability of Infants because of different background variables such as the ages of infant, gender, family type, the education level of the mother, and total family income. 5.Parenting attitudes have a partially positive correlation and a partially negative correlation with the adaptability of Infants 6.Providing recommendation as a point of reference for governmental education units, public and private child care centers and parents of infants.
