In order to meet the needs of safeguarding national security and improving the country''s overall economy, it depends on the government effectively combining the strength of the private sector to develop the defense industry, accelerate the transformation speed of the defense industry and enhance the performance and quality of defense weapons and equipment, and establish a defense supply chain and improve the international market value of products. In order to achieve the goal of self-made weapons and equipment in the way of domestic research and development, the country’s high-tech research and development energy must be effectively integrated, and advanced production technology and concepts are introduced, and the production capacity and quality can be improved to create the international competitiveness of defense industry. All of these are important for meeting the purpose of industrial upgrading and economic benefits. The purpose of this paper is to study how to grasp the opportunity of industrial transformation, and through the effective combination of technology investment and non-government forces, to further implement the national defense autonomy policy, and to provide a perfect industrial 4.0 world to build a defense industry under the consideration of national defense security and economic development. Besides, we need to create an industrial environment with adaptability, resource efficiency, and incentives for manufacturers to invest, so that national defense research and development can be truly independent and technologically improved, and an industry vision of marketing products to the international market can be reached at an early date. Up to now, most of the research on the introduction of private enterprises into Industry 4.0 emphasizes case sharing and less on the overall analysis of the industry. This report is therefore aimed at the defense industry to conduct research on the guiding industry 4.0, and the government is actively coaching the establishment of scale. Hope we can provide the results of the analysis to use opportunities and remove obstacles, and study the feasible response strategy as a reference for follow-up guidance. In addition to the integration of experts to implement SWOT internal and external analysis, this study will also conduct feasibility assessments for multiple implementation strategies. Due to various obstacles faced by the defense industry in introducing Industry 4.0, this report recommends the adoption of the WO strategy and the use of external opportunities and internal advantages, try to avoid external threats and overcome internal disadvantages. Looking at the various benefits of Industry 4.0, we will enhance the quality and adaptability through intelligence, grasp the international direction through network, and guide the production capacity increase through the immediate grasp of market demand and production status, and invest in the ranks of high-standard international products with progressive market share. It has already shown the trend of the introduction of the defense industry into the industry 4.0. The defense industry has only taken the opportunity to innovate and transform, improve the network and security environment from the inside, integrate upstream and downstream suppliers, and introduce the advanced technology and master the key technological autonomy, so that there is an opportunity for the national military weapons and equipment to improve performance, in the upgrading and development of domestic industrial technology, and at the early stage achieve the goal of exporting military products into the international market.
