Through the development of various emerging digital technologies, the digital economy has gradually become the reality of social development. As the digital economy will become the key trend in the development of the modern world and become the consensus of the whole world, how to start the transformation of enterprises to participate in the digital economy has become a key issue for all industries in the world. Taiwan’s participation in global value chains is extremely high, making traditional trade the most important industry in Taiwan. However, the development of Taiwan’s traditional trade industry has gradually declined in the past 10 years, facing the lack of innovative development issues. When the global trade industry is transformed into digital trade, the participation of the digital economy will be a way for Taiwan’s traditional trade industry to break through the difficulties and create more competitiveness. How to participate in the digital economy in Taiwan''s industry is not enough information, the problem of insufficient information on digital transformation has become a pain point for Taiwan''s traditional trade industry to effectively participate in the digital economy. Based on the above-mentioned difficulties in the management of Taiwan''s traditional trade industry, inspired this study to delve into the current situation of Taiwan''s traditional trade industry in the introduction of digital economy. To study the relationship between the type of strategy, performance, digital evolution type, digital innovation type and digital Strategic Group by trading companies engaged in traditional trade operations in Taiwan. This study divides the digital strategy types into three types: "cooperative alliance type", "business optimization type" and "innovative development type"; divide performance types into three types: “performance of finance”, “performance of operation” and “performance of service”;divide the digital evolution type into three categories: “initialization”, “expansion” and “stable”; dividing digital innovation types into three categories: "digital upgrade", "digital transformation" and "digital innovation"; divide the digital strategic group into three categories: "smart digital type", "cloud digital type" and "ecological platform type". This study conducted a qualitative research approach. Through the literature analysis method, a total of nine case companies were collected, and various research propositions and six research conclusions were proposed through analysis and induction. The summary is as follows: 1.The introduction of traditional trade strategy into digital economic strategy types has an impact on digital performance. 2.The digital evolution of traditional trade has an impact on the introduction of digital economic strategies and digital performance. 3.The digital innovation of traditional trade has an impact on the introduction of digital economic strategy and digital performance. 4.The traditional trade digital strategic group has an impact on the introduction of digital economic strategy types, digital performance, digital evolution and digital innovation.
