Effect of Multimedia Learning on student’s learning achievement : a meta-analysis

碩士 === 中原大學 === 教育研究所 === 107 === The purpose of this meta-analysis is to explore the learning achievement of learning with multimedia.The researcher collected data of 24 published journals which can be found in the Web of Science database from 1999 to 2018.And the jounals’ subjects should be Taiwanese.The study aims to understand understand the correlations between multimedia with learning and student’s learning achievement, as well as other variables(e.g.knowledge dimension, cognitive processes dimension and pacing control of the display).The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The effect size of all the variables for multimedia with learning is medium small(ES=0.346)；(2)In terms of knowledge dimension,factual is medium(ES=0.676)；(3)In terms of cognitive processes,understand is medium(ES=0.712)；(4)In terms of pacing control of the display,full control of the display is medium small (ES=0.392).According to the results of this study,some practical suggestions are made for future studies.
