The users experienced 9 virtual space models with different clothes of modern simplicity clothing stores which were designed by AutoCAD, SketchUP, and Lumion. And the questionnaires were designed to investigate their vision, feelings and behaviors, including the preferences of the space, the lengths of stay, and the desires to shop after experiments. The results showed that there were significant interaction between the color and closed space in the groups of passion, intimate compared to personalization, and gorgeousness compared to simplicity. The psychological effect of user by color matching was more than closed space. And there were interaction between the color and closed space in the groups of lightness, freedom compared to stability, and boisterousness compared to quietness. The users’ desire to shop were increased when the colors of clothes and spaces are same. In conclusion, the results could be served as a reference for the interior design for clothing stores in the future.
