Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 精密機械暨水下機電技術整合產業碩士專班 === 107 === Striped rice stem borer (Chilo suppressalis (walker)) is a wild-spread pest in Asia. The stem borer larvae would cause “dead hearts” and “white heads” symptom in cropping paddy during both the first and the second periods of cultivation in Taiwan. Sex pheromone is one of the major materials for the pest control of Chilo suppressalis, which can be applied to male trap-to-kill and density monitoring strategies. The effectiveness of attraction is evaluated by the number of male stem borer attracted by the sex pheromone integrated with the wing sticky trap. The statistical results are analyzed by T-test. The micro-encapsulized formulation, demonstrated the control-releasing effect, showed similar or better attraction effect when compared to that of the plastic tube formulation. Reducing the dose of the active components to half of its original dose does not significantly affect the attracting effect. The experimental results can be provided as the basis for developing of new types of pest control materials for striped rice stem borer .
