The development of materials used by humans has evolved from steel used in the industrial age to light-weight aluminum alloys. In recent years, composite materials have begun to replace metal materials in the market, and more and more composite materials are used in life. This paper mainly uses the finite element method commercial software software ANSYS/LS-DYNA for dynamic simulation, and performs the drop hammer impact simulation according to the ASTM D7136 specification. The experimental part uses the dynamic photography of the high-speed camera to perform the drop test and compare it with the simulation. Verification to verify the feasibility of the simulation and experiment. Discuss the influence of plate impact thickness and composite lamination angle on impact energy absorption and damage.
