Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 休閒事業管理學系碩士班 === 107 === This study aims to explore current situation of elementary school teachers’ emotional labor, leisure coping and work engagement and background difference and probe into relationship between emotional labor and work engagement and moderating effect of leisure coping between emotional labor and work engagement. This study conducted questionnaire survey on teachers in public elementary schools in Changhua County. According to school scales, it conducted quota sampling and investigation, distributed 450 questionnaires, and retrieved 404 valid samples, with a valid return rate of 89.78%. Data acquired were analyzed by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, item analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t test, ANOVA and hierarchical regression analysis. Research findings are shown below: 1. Elementary school teachers’ emotional labor and work engagement are at least medium level. 2. As to emotional labor and work engagement, teachers with more working years are superior to those with less working years; male teachers’ attitude to adopt avoidant leisure coping style is more significant than female teachers; attitude of teachers with school scale of less than 12 classes to adopt avoidant leisure coping style is more significant than those with school scale of at least 13 classes. 3. There is low degree of positive correlation among overall emotional labor, leisure coping, work engagement and perceived health state. 4. Emotional labor significantly and positively influences work engagement. 5.With high degree of planned-breather leisure coping style, emotional labor reinforces work engagement; on the contrary, with high degree of avoidant leisure coping style, emotional labor lowers work engagement. According to research findings, it proposes the suggestions as reference for educational authority, teachers and future researchers in order to contribute to theories and practice.
