If it is possible to use “smart agriculture” –combine technology and data analysis, with considering the differences in lands, doing more appropriate use of land, then we can stabilize production and cost-down, but is it worth investing? Researches on intelligent greenhouse agriculture are still less in Taiwan. This study aims to consider the advantages and disadvantages of smart greenhouse with the perspective of business management. The empirical analysis of the smart greenhouse of Horng Joou Co. shows that the smart greenhouse is the better decision-making, with interview with experts, cost-benefit analysis and AHP questionnaires, the result is not only show the positive net benefit of cost-benefit analysis, but it also shows positive affect from the qualitative data of analytical hierarchy process for building up an intelligent greenhouse. Last but not least, hope that this research can be a decision-making reference for future farm operators.
