In order to maintain the companies’ competitiveness, business practices need to upgrade the Operational Performance as well as the Financial Performance in a more efficient and effective way to control the uncertainty and costs. Both Internal Information Integration and External Information Integration are playing an important role. By having sufficient and reliable information, stakeholders can make the good decision making. The purpose of this research is to investigate on how the effects of information integration (Internal and External) affect companies’ Operational Performance and Financial Performance and does supply chain flexibility (Reactive and Proactive) mediates both variables? This research collected the annual reports from Indonesian basic and chemical industry that listed in Indonesian stock exchange bureau official website from 2014 – 2017.
The results show that External Information Integration is positively significant affecting both Reactive and Proactive Supply Chain Management. On the other hand, Internal Information Integration only affects Proactive Supply Chain Flexibility in a positive way. Furthermore, we found that Proactive Supply Chain Flexibility significantly affect Financial Performance and Operational Performance in a positive way, while Reactive Supply Chain Flexibility does not have any relationship into Financial Performance and Operational Performance of the company. Afterwards, we also found that both Reactive Supply Chain Flexibility is mediates External Information Integration into Financial Performance. Lastly, we also found that both Reactive and Proactive Supply Chain Flexibility mediates External Information Integration to Operational Performance.
