Software TracePro is used to analyze path and trajectory of light. From the results, it is found that the bottom angle α has significant effect on imaging of conical lenses. Asα increasing from 0°, the images on screen would change from a solid circle for α being 0° to ring of light. The radii of ring of light will increase as α increasing. But the illuminance of ring of light will decrease as α increasing due to some light scattering. As α being 41.19°, almost all the light be reflected backward the conical lenses or scattered. Only the light going through the axis of conical lens will image a light point on screen. As α being larger than 43.21°, there are no light images on the screen. However, as α being larger than 53°, images on the screen will also become ring of light. The radii of ring of light would decrease as α increasing. When α is 90°, the image on the screen will be solid circle. If the light is inclined to the axis of conical lenses, the images on the screen will be arcs of circle.
