However, high blood pressure is a complex, high prevalence and irreversible chronic disease, and it is increasing with age. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relevance of social support, self-efficacy, disease cognition, and medication compliance behavior in patients with hypertension in Xindian District. The cross-sectional correlation research layout was designed to facilitate the sampling survey of 230 patients diagnosed with hypertension in the outpatient clinic of Xindian District. The questionnaires were exploited to collect data. The research tools included disease cognition scale and self-efficacy. The scale and social support scale and medication compliance behavior scale were analyzed by SPSS 20.0 statistical software. The statistical methods included descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA and Logistic regression. The results of the study draw that there was significant difference between self-efficacy, social su pport, and disease cognition in hypertension patients with medication adherence behavior in Xindian District. The predictors affecting the compliance behavior of hypertension medication in Xindian District are self-efficacy and disease cognition. It is recommended to provide health promotion and constructive measures for disease cognition and self-efficacy in the future. In order to improve the quality of life, as a reference for improving the compliance behavior of the drug in the future. Keywords: hypertensive patients, medication adherence,self-efficacy
