| Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 107 === The aim of this study is to investigate the comprehensive performance of Shaun White in half-pipe snowboard finals in 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The objective of this study is to compare the similarities and differences of champion, second place and third place in terms of the performance, technology, strategy and mark variation and then have a deep understanding on the key factor of Shaun White getting the champion. The research method used in this study are observation and interviews.
First the literatures regarding to the key factor that affect half-pipe snowboard are summarized. The focus group interview and depth interview were conducted within 9 experts in this relevant field and the subjects in the interview are all players, coaches and referees in half-pipe snowboard. The results show that 1) compare to the second place and third place candidate, Shaun White has a better comprehensive performance during the competition 2) there is difference between these three candidates in terms of technology and strategy but Shaun White’s choreography is more conducive to scoring the first jump 3) Shaun White The movements used in Shaun Whites competition are more difficult, mainly in the use of grabbing action and the use of positive and negative foot movements 4) although compare to second place and third place players the referee has emotional considers on Shaun White because of his popularity, it does not affect the score on fairness.
