碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 宗教學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === Abstract In this study, the summarized cases and materials from the Lord of Universe Church (天帝教) are related to life and death theories. Coordinating with the current procedures and the materials of the funeral service applied in the Church, as well as Cosmic CHI Healing, near-death experience (NDE) and the cases of awarded extended human life on earth with heavenly permission, euthanasia and the dignity of death etc. This work carries out the main theoretical and practical dissertations of life and death education. In the theoretical part, according to the view of life dissertated by the Lord of Universe Church, the differences between the transmigration of most people and the realms after death of the fellow strivers (followers) of the Lord of Universe Church are compared. Furthermore, this study investigated the development of the life and death education in modern society and surveyed on the issues of elder care, including the mindset of elders during their impending death, the analysis of current situations about life and death education for elders in Taiwan and in the Lord of Universe Church respectively. In addition, the cases of near-death experience and awarded extended human life on earth with heavenly permission are further analyzed and compared, so to understand if the nature of the souls is also changed in both cases. From the practical point of view, the fellow strivers help the people reduce sufferings and anxiety on their bodies and souls by applying Cosmic CHI Healing when those people are impending death and after death. However, how to help the families of those people make through that painful moment? Tian-An-Tai-He Retreat Center (天安太和道場) of the Lord of Universe Church is a retreat center of life and death education and an altar of life care. What are the differences between the retreat center (the altar) and a columbarium? Those are the main theoretical and practical questions and discussions in this work.
