According to the researches recently, most of the papers are focus on the pattern with crime, less of them has discussed the correlation between crime and environment. This study exploits the Geography Information System (GIS) to analysis the correlation between other geography data sets and burglary in different grid system, which uses the open data released by Taipei city and Taoyuan City. The study finds out that base on village in Taipei city, the correlation coefficient between population and the number of burglary is -0.54% to 29.11%, with the same procedure, the correlation coefficient between population and the number of burglary is 18,43%~30.89 in Taoyuan city. At the same time, this work uses the 1/2 of average distance per bus stop(1680 meters) in Taipei city as the length of grid. The correlation coefficient is 59.78% to 81.41%, which is highly correlated. And in Taoyuan city, the average village perimeter as the length of grid(1609 meters) makes the correlation coefficient to 68.85%~82.73%. The study suggests that the grid’s length between 1600 meters and 1700 meters is an appropriate range to discuss the correlation with the number of burglary and geography data set both in Taipei city and Taoyuan City. Besides, combing other geography information with crime analysis could be a new way to investigate. TU,YI-NING 杜逸寧 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 87 zh-TW
