Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 美術學系碩士班 === 107 === Empty represents some kind of perception beyond the physical senses, and also the state that can be understood conceptually. But at the same time, Empty denotes a kind of possibility; that is to say, anything could arise therefrom, and anything could happen. Accordingly, "empty" does not mean nothing, but unlimited possibilities that allow anything to appear, change or disappear. In this study, I tried to introspect myself through Jung's psychoanalysis. Only when exploring inwardly, do I realized what people really need is to return to the Self. In the material experiments, I investigated the history of traditional weaving to modern Fiber Art, in order to present the adopted media and the theory basis of the creation. This creation is divided into three parts: "Generation", "Coexistence" and "Empty". The piece "Chrysalis" symbolizes the birth of life, and it explores the production of species. The "Coexistence" series utilizes plants to symbolize lives other than Self, including: "Coexistence Archives", "Bizarre", "Bottom", "Connecting Life", which all use a large number of fiber media to create. The final work "Empty" is the final piece of this creation, and it is also the work that connects the whole concept of the creation. I came to the realization during the creative processes that Empty is oneness and interdependent. I attempted to express the macroscopic and optimistic mindset with this three-part creation. The Empty and the Oneness are not something that exist in unpalpable spiritual realms, but within reach in our lives. Through the self-awareness brought by this creative process, it is expected to provide the viewers with different ways of thinking.
