In order to operate sustainably, it’s very important for universities and colleges to protect their images by the use of crisis communication strategy.
Therefore, this research adopts the orientation of "Crisis Rhetoric" to explore the management of Taiwan's universities and colleges in the face of enrollment crisis by the research method of linguistic analysis and the framework of the "image repair theory".
Through the guidance of the image repair theory by exploring the persuasive speeches expressed by individuals or organizations to understand how individuals or organizations deal with the image damage caused by the crisis, this research tends to establish a systematic approach for the study of crisis communication by the view of " Crisis Rhetoric".
