Since many problems arise from adapting to daily life in a new environment, such as language barriers, eating habits, customs, etc.,due to differed perceptions and concepts, attitudes toward upbringing of the next generation also vary. Thepurpose of this study is to explore the parenting experiencepertaining to the paternal role of new immigrantfamilies. The interpretation was based on qualitativeresearch and in-depth interviews. Through purposivesampling, three fathers from Vietnamese new immigrantfamilies were adopted as researchparticipants. The analysis in this study was conducted throughinterviews and relevant document collection, and the followingconclusions are drawn: 1. For the contextual factors of paternal experience of new immigrantfamilies, the paternal experience is jointly constructed by important others in life and in daily living; 2. Fathers of new immigrantfamilies can understand the value of paternal commitment; 3. Changes in pressures and utilization of resources contribute to the paternal role of new immigrant families; 4. Enhance the paternal feelings and expectations of fathers of new immigrant families; analyze the research results in the “new immigrant families’upbringing ideas and perception” aspect, and the “methods fathers of new immigrant families use for theupbringing of their children”. Finally, recommendations were proposed to serve as a reference for relevant units and follow-up researchers. Dong-Jenn Yang 楊東震 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW
