The Badland of Taiwan is the one of the very few where located in the tropical area that also on the verge of severe erosion and serious destruction owing to typhoons and earthquakes. The east of Taiwan in sight of Pacific Rim Volcanic Area, and outskirt Philippine plate on west side, generate collisions with average annual 82mm movement to Eurasian plate. It causing the badland area constant rise and erosion moreover create a multi-faceted change.
The badland area occupy 3% of Taiwan’s territory, The land is vastitude, the sedimentary layer is the thickest of the world, It provide abundant sources of seafloor sediment’ ecology and stratigraphic analysis, expect apply for World Natural Heritage in the future, at the mean time we need complete development under the protection of the environment with excellent travel itinerary planning, set teaching’ travel’ and leisure together make the trip meaningful and also the focus of international tourism.
