Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士在職專班 === 107 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of family cohesion and social support on life satisfaction among disadvantaged teenagers. Using W4 second version of questionnaire, 2015 (junior high school and above) of Taiwan Panel Study of Children and Youth (TPSCY) form Taiwan Database of Children and Youth in Poverty (TDCYP) to collect the data from 978 samples. However, there were only 268 samples of the educational level of the parents' background variant. The statistical methods included descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression. The results shows: 1. The disadvantaged teenagers had a positive perception of the “family cohesion” they feel; The "social support" obtained is generally moderately affirmative; There is not much disagreement or agreement in their "life satisfaction" , and the overall level of satisfaction shows medium level. 2. The disadvantaged teenagers of different genders have significant differences between terms of "social support" and "life satisfaction". And female teengers were higher in "social support" than male teenagers; male teenagers were more satisfied with "life satisfaction" than female teengers. 3. In terms of the education level of the disadvantaged teenagers' parents, there were significantly different between ‘‘the father's education level’’ and "family cohesion" and also between ‘‘the mother's education level’’ and "life satisfaction". 4. The "life satisfaction" of the disadvantaged teenagers were positively correlated with "family cohesion" and "social support". According to the results of the study, these would provide a valuable recommendation in teaching, family, and making educational authorities.
