In recent years, many research papers have pub -lished that non-drug therapy is effective for people with diseases. can delay the impro -vement of the symptoms of the disease, it is effective for the improvement of the pa- tient's body, mind, spirit and mood. The mentor of the conservation center, daily life style is fixed, in a life without stimulation, cognitive function is gradually decreasing, the mood is in a state of depre- ssion, in the hopeless quality of life, accelerate the decline of body function. Whether vanilla horticultural activity therapy can recognize the cognitive func- tion and feelings of dementia elders in the maintenance center, What is the impact of the situation? Is it positive or negative? It is the main theme of this research project. This research take Experimental study, according to the SPMSQ Dementia Screen -ing Scale, the screening criteria were evaluated. Selecting 10 to 12 people with demen -tia in the maintenance organization to carry out vanilla gardening treatment activities, the first activity to do the pre-test questionnaire, the last activity was done on the back side of the questionnaire, the schedule of activities is about 1 hour per class on Tues- days and Thursdays. The investigators conducted in-depth interviews, and the testee's life background, age, gender, occupation, etc., on the test project's cognitive and emo- tional control assessment, before and after the ques -tionnaire, the results were mea- sureed. After including the basic information of the subjects, MMSE, GDS, horticul- tural treatment welfare benefit scale, etc, encode and log in the data, then analyze with SPSS computer software package. Finally, based on the results of the study, the recommendations were made as a reference for the improvement of cognitive function and emotional status of the demented elderly in the institution and future research.
