Therefore, the investigation about practice of safe injection, as well as factors influencing to safe injection among nursing students who are in undergraduate degree is essential in the context of Vietnam. The goals of this study were to describe factors relates to safe injection practice among nursing students. Objective: To describe factors relates to safe injection practice among nursing students. Methodology: A cross – sectional survey was carried out from 1st February 2019 to 15th March 2019 with the participants were 264 nursing students. In survey used questionnaires to collected the characteristics and assess knowledge about safe injection of nursing students. Observers used to observe the nursing students practices safe injection to assess practice of them by the checklist. The data were analysed by SPSS 22.0 Results: In this study, majority 84.5% was female, 68.9% nursing students have academic level was good, the subjects participating in the study performed an average of 7.20 injections a day (SD=2.463). Most of the injections observed from the participants were taken in the morning with 98 injections with 37.1%. The type of injection that most subjects performed was intravenous with 87.5%. The percentage of nurrsing student have about knowledge safe injection was found to be 54.2 %. The proportion of practical injections that met the 23 standards of injection safety amounted to 33%. Year of education, academic standing, number of injections per day, time of observation and knowledge are the most important factor that will affect nursing student’s proper practice of safe injection. Conclusions: Most of nursing students have good knowledge, but many nursing students have poor practice safe injection; the ratio to comply with the practice safe injection process was low. Need to be active, proactive, improve knowledge and practice about safe injection, especially learning, remembering and practicing the right actions when injecting.
