The waste coffee grounds base materials prepared under three different conditions were mixed with four different aqueous solutions under the conditions of carbonization at 600 ~ 800 ° C. Samples were derived from sodium hydroxide (NaOH), potassium hydroxide (KOH), lithium hydroxide(LiOH), calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) aqueous solution. The prepared samples were characterized by ( CO₂ - TPD) and XRD. , UV-visible and hydrogen of NaBH4. 1. All the coffee grounds substrate was prepared with three different preparation conditions of activated charcoal, with 5M concentration of potassium hydroxide aqueous solution, XRD diffraction peak locate at the same angle 2θ ≈ 32.46 ∘ 2. All the prepared samples showed an absorption peak at about 240 ~ 400 nm. 3. CO₂ - TPD results showed that (D) series 1M potassium hydroxide aqueous solution activated charcoal have the maximum CO₂ - TPD peak area, and it is proved the carbon dioxide adsorptive ability is the best. The lower the concentration, the better the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed. 4. The hydrogen generation at 40° C of the 0.1g Co catalyst prepared by calcium hydroxide, with 50ml of 0.2M NaOH and 0.1M NaBH4 aqueous solutions , sodium hydroxide are 276.54ml.
