To develop the technology of grinding and polishing that is able to reuse the damage exposure glass and furthermore get the better transmittance and surface flatness。 To recycle the damage physical tempered glass what is the consumable part for exposure machine from PCB manufacturer and then checking the scratch depth and flatness by the measuring instrument. Going with the experiment to get the recycling specification as that the scratch depth should be ≦0.25mm and the flatness should be≦0.68mm to meet grinding and polish tolerance for physical tempered glass recycling. To set the time and pressure on precision single side polishing machine and get the chemical reactions on ceric dioxide powder and glass what the chemical reactions are caused from the heat of polishing pad. In the meantime the polishing pad can remove the scratches。 This experiment has been set the parameters as polishing time at 30 mins and polishing pressure at 200kgs, 300kgs and 400kgs separately. The best cutting value is 0.08mm that value is got from the experiment result with the pressure at 400kgs pressure. As the result got from the experiment, the light transmittance of recycled glass can be increased to 90% up from 88% after grinding and polishing. The light transmittance value is tested through various light source at the wavelength between 365-385nm。 After the process of grinding and polishing, the experiment goes to the last part verifying the exposure resolution. The resolution can reach 2mil after grinding and polishing. According to the experiment result the resolution is optimized and better than the original specification. This research also describes the cost reduction for glass. The customers can reduce the glass cost and don’t need to spend high cost to buy new glass but just the glass repair cost. The price gap of new glass and repair glass is up to few thousands. Starting from the glass cost reduction and furthermore to provide the better exposure ability and also the glass repair service that break through the market competitions.
