We applied D-mannitol as initiator, it would form 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-D-mannitol after dehydrated, and we further synthesis and increase the efficiency of the reaction. According to our previous study, the dihalomethane could Methylate with aldehydes or ketones generate halomethyltitanium compound under the present of TiCl4 and Mg complex. The reaction would differ from solvent and the ration of TiCl4 and Mg.
