For daily operations, there are basic maintenance costs for the database administrator (DBA), and relatively higher maintenance costs must be invested if new reports are needed. This study aims to construct a data table ontology and a report ontology chart via the ontology representation technique, and use these two ontology and field dictionary to determine the relationship between the data tables and reports during the daily operations of the company. The objective is to enable the DBA or software engineers to find the correct data table’s fields more efficiently when new reports are needed in order to reduce the errors and time costs associated with demand analysis.
