With the maturity of laser technique, most of the stainless steel industries started to change the method. Laser colour engraving is the new method instead of the coloured pigments for stainless steel products. The new method can reduce the cost and improve the quality that the economic becomes more efficiency. This study is investigating the laser engraving of colour change. Plan the paper structure to apply DMAIC and establish a Cause-and-Effect diagram to analysis correlation factor. Find the laser color engraving lowest defect rate parameter through the Taguchi Method. Application of the DMAIC Control stage to design color chips and process control enable the company improve the skills of laser color engraving and increase profits.
