Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 107 === Factory fires have occurred frequently in recent years. During nighttime or nonworking hours, the fire would not be discovered until it develops to a certain level. When it is finally discovered, the golden time to fight the fire, rescue personnel, and evacuate has already elapsed. Therefore, this study integrated microcontrollers and the Internet of Things to develop an automated fire suppression system for equipment rooms. The Arduino microcontroller was installed with a fire detector, incorporated with a fuzzy-theory algorithm to design a simple automated fire suppression system that can substantially reduce incidents of fires, injuries of personnel, and loss of properties. When a fire occurs in an unmanned equipment room, the system enables remote monitoring and control of the on-site situation. The automated fire suppression system can wipe out the fire in the first place. The results of this study confirmed that the proposed method can facilitate accurate remote monitoring and control and initiate the automated fire suppression system in various equipment rooms or warehouses.
