To increase the efficiency of production scheduling has become an important topic. In Taiwan, laser processing industry is mostly small and medium-sized enterprise, and most of the production schedules for orders are handled by human. However, the speed of human scheduling is slow and the quality is unstable, which often cause uneven manpower distribution, poor efficiency of machine use arrangement, and delay in delivery. The purpose of this study is to solve the problem of poor efficiency caused by the old artificial laser carving schedule, and to achieve the goal of improving production efficiency byintroducing a production scheduling information system.Through expert meetings and SWOT analysis to propose scheduling improvement strategies. Then, using the dispatching method, the restriction planning combined, and IDEF analysis to plan and import a new production scheduling information system, build related information equipment and operational circulation planning. By this system, we can reduce the waste of time; also increase the efficiency and production capacity. Furthermore, manager and production manage staff can know the order status immediately by this information system. a laser engraving processing plant as an example. Explained the process of construction in production scheduling system, and import an instant information system, form data, and schedule automation, operational circulation planning to effectively solve the issues of old manual scheduling.
