In 2014, the concept of participatory budgeting was practiced in different ways throughout Taiwan. In addition, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Seediq Baike tribe also implemented two participatory budgets in 2015 and 2018 respectively. This study aims to explore how the tribal traditional social system is in the face of participatory budgeting, and how to integrate and develop a participatory budget mechanism model suitable for the indigenous culture. Based on the concept of participatory budgeting and tribal tradition, this study re-established the mechanism of the Baike tribe's participatory budget in 2018. Furthermore, through the collection of qualitative data, the proposal of redesigning the mechanism is proposed as a reference for the third promotion of the Baike tribe and the follow-up promotion of other indigenous tribes.
