In order to solve huge data traffic and more and more internet of things, 5th generation mobile networks start to set up now. This also drives the demand for high-bandwidth, high-capacity data center interconnect equipment. So, the targets of the optical communication system include reducing the module size, power consumption and cost. Photonic integrated circuit is one of the key technologies. Another main point is the development of digital signal processing. There’ll be a distortion, including chromatic dispersion, polarization-mode dispersion, clock recovery, forward error correction, and bit error rate calculation, etc. Therefore, we develop an equalizer to correct the signal error, we also introduce neural network to be the equalizer for channel effects. We establish a simulation platform in order to optimize the coherent system components.
