Summary: | 博士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 107 === This study is designated to probe into the correlation among emotional labor, personality traits, job satisfaction, and job performance of criminal inverstigation detective. It regarded the criminal inverstigation detective of Changhua County Police Department as its subjects, adopted a self-made research tool, "Scale on Emotional Labor, Personality Traits, Job Satisfaction, and Job Performance of criminal inverstigation detective", and sent copies of the questionnaire to eight branches of Changhua County Police Department (in Changhua, Yuanlin, Lukang, Beidou, Hemei, Xihu, Tianzhong, and Fangyuan) as well as the headquarters (including direct affiliated teams). A total of 420 subjects received the questionnaire survey. 380 valid copies of the questionnaire were collected. The valid recovery rate was 90.47%. The data obtained in this study was analyzed by two statistical software, SPSS for Windows 20.0 & AMOS 20.0. Average, standard deviation, t-test of independent samples, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and structural equation modeling (SEM) were employed for statistical analysis.
Based on data analysis and discussion, this study reached the following conclusions:
1. The criminal inverstigation detective have good emotional labor, personality traits, job satisfaction, and job performance, indicating that the subjects have a level of confidence above the standard and good performance.
2. The criminal inverstigation detective ' perception of emotional labor varies by their years of service. Senior criminal police officers with "25 years (inclusive) or above of service" had high perception of emotional labor.
3. The criminal inverstigation detective ' perception of personality traits varies by their ages. Such differences were reflected between those with 25 years (inclusive) or above of service and those with 16-20 years of service.
4. The criminal inverstigation detective ' perception of job satisfaction varies by their ages and places of service. Those with an older age and those work in non-complex regions are more satisfied with their job.
5. The criminal inverstigation detective ' perception of job performance varies by their ages, education background, years of service, places of service, titles, and number of employees of their organizations. Those who are older than 50 years old, have a low academic degree, work as a police for over 25 years (inclusive) in complex regions, and assume the post of "squad leader" have high perception of job performance.
6. Emotional labor, personality traits, job satisfaction, and job performance of the criminal inverstigation detective demonstrate a positive correlation to a moderate or above extent.
7. The goodness-of-fit of SEM of emotional labor, personality traits, job satisfaction, and job performance of the criminal police officers is good with a positive structural relationship.
Lastly, in light of the conclusions, this study puts forward reference for improvement by police and administrative authorities and suggestions for follow-up relevant researches.
