碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 民族事務與發展學系 === 107 === Everyone has their own story. Been through every event, people can create their own way of their life. This paper will explore about the life of Akawyan. Because her life has been through difference colonial administration and face the culture changing. And also the place that Akawyan live is the high population density and is the well-preserved of the traditional culture in Taitung County. It has large ethnic culture rich and more. So the paper will representation the memories of Akawyan and Puyuma community. Retrospect the history is also creating the memory. The culture from now could be the tradition in the future. By recording the different time and event that Akawyan has been through, it will be a discussion of the power and value in her life. Through the study, I hope to find out the reason that let Akawyan has the spirit of fortitude to pass down the culture of the Puyuma. Even that she has been through the difference time, colonial government and the migration of the Puyuma community. Culture changing could let people feel of calm, peace, scary, struggle, conflict or contradict. Every events, every memories are the important cultural heritage and important thoughts. Study the stories of Akawyan from 1938 to now, will be the significant evidence that influences the ethnic consciousness and build the thought of the culture.
