Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防大學 === 資源管理及決策研究所 === 107 === In recent years, due to the rapid growth of the elderly population, the speed of aging in our society has increased, the phenomenon of aging and low-birth rate have become an important issues. With the change of social structure, the change of family form from the extended family to the nuclear family. As the burden of young adults is increasing, the demand for long-term services is gradually increasing, and the service of the long-term care institutions is also increasing. Nowadays, many managers invest a lot in the ranks of long-term institution, but they are easy to face problems such as insufficient manpower and high costs when managing, need to bear the risk and cost of business failure, and there are many factors that affect the management system, including the time required to recruit a registered professional nurse, resident inflow velocity, and so on, have a causal interaction relationship with each other. Therefore, how to manage a long-term institution from holistic view should be a topic worth considering. In this research, we use a case for nursing home as the research object, adopt the system dynamics as the methodology, construct the nursing home business model, and use the management flight simulator to explore different policies (critical care ratio, the number of additional nurses and number of beds) and situational variables (operation costs, number of evaluations and supervisors, total hours of preparation, and so on), to analyze the trend of supply and demand ratio and profit of registered professional nurse, and analysis of their impact on system behavior, so as to provide reference for the managers of nursing home.
