Chiang Kai-Shek is a controversial leader. While he was taken as a national hero, he was also blamed as a autocratic killer. Ppublic opinion didn’t condemn the violent sabotage that seemly demonstrates their judgement. However, can we really have the final conclusion about Chiang Kai-Shek now? Should we “let bygones be bygones”? This study asserts that the judgement of a historical figure must be done under his/her proper historical context. The so-called “transitional justice” based on double standards or anachronism is not justice. People can accept this argument by persuasion. This is verified by the network questionnaire survey on the abolition of the Kai-shek Memorial Hall conducted by this study. YANG, SHIH-YUEH 楊仕樂 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 118 zh-TW
